Incident Investigation Course
Across the globe, there are some 270 million occupational accidents and 160 million work-related diseases each year according to WHO sources, heavily impacting the companies' productivity and bottom line. OSHA estimated that employers pay almost $1 billion per week for direct employees' compensation costs alone while the indirect costs incurred are 3 to 10 times the direct costs.
This practical 2-day program aims to analyse root causes of incidents and recommend effective corrective and preventive measures, in order to prevent future reoccurrences. Participants will be equipped with all the requisite tools and skills to perform a thorough incident root cause analysis, including learning the legal aspects of an investigation and sound interviewing techniques to systematically gather evidence. Drawing lessons from past incidents, this program provides participants with the skills to reveal the critical gaps in existing safety management processes and subsequently, implement necessary process change to develop more robust and sustainable systems. To address the human factor of workplace incidents, participants will also have the chance to understand how an organisation's safety culture contribute to incidents.
Finally, participants will learn how to develop continuous improvement strategies using a range of tools to obtain management buy-ins for engraining safety into the organisations' culture to allow successful implementation of corrective and preventive actions that correspond to underlying incidents' root causes and mitigate future incidents and their impacts.

Safety Leadership Program
This program is the flagship of our training offering and the core outcome focuses on providing front line leaders and supervisors with the requisite competencies to lead their teams in delivering work safely. Our experience has shown that many organisations promote their supervisors, engineers and project managers into roles without fully preparing them for the responsibilities faced in making day to day decisions that directly impact on the workforce. We specifically tailor this course for each client by incorporating key risk management, communication and leadership practices detailed in the organisation’s safety management system into the program. This ensures that participants are equipped with the necessary competencies to lead their teams to achieve safe outcomes, whilst working within the parameters of their organisations agreed processes.

This framework was developed by the Cooperative Research Centre for Construction Innovation (CRCCI), which is committed to leading the Australian property, design, construction and facility management industry in collaboration and innovation.

Safety Culture Change/ Behaviour Based Safety Program
With human error accounting for 96% of workplace accidents, organisations may incur huge compensation costs that potentially amount to an unprecedented high of $1 billion per week, approximately 3 to 10 times the operational costs, as estimated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). As workers’ lives and the organization’s bottom line are at risk, organisations need to implement Behaviour Based Safety Programs (BBSP) as the key to driving an effective safety culture for sustainable business growth.
This comprehensive 2-day program will equip participants with the knowledge to strengthen the safety culture of your organisation and enhance business safety outcomes through the application of Behavioural Based Safety Programs (BBSP) that directly influence individual behaviour.
Participants will learn how to analyse their organisation's safety culture and to create greater safety resilience and vigilance through hard won lessons and content that is supported by the work of Professor Andrew Hopkins, Professor of Sociology at the Australian National University and Professor Patrick Hudson of Leiden University, two of the world’s leading experts on the impact of safety cultures on organisations. The program employs an innovative and unique collaborative discussion method, designed for groups, using practical and interactive communication tools. Participants will be placed in discussion scenarios that are relevant to organisational safety cultural improvement through the development of agreed core practices, which in turn influence personal behaviours.
At the end of this 2-day course, participants will leave with the confidence required to design a program suitable for their organisational needs and implement concepts to build a strong safety commitment and culture.
